Christopher Delbrück named CFO of E.ON Energy Trading
E.ON Energy Trading today announced that it has appointed Christoph Delbrück as its next Chief Financial Officer. Christopher replaces outgoing CFO Jonas Abrahamsson, who will leave the business to become Chief Executive Officer of E.ON Nordic. Both changes are effective from July 1st, 2010.
Christopher has been with the E.ON Group since 2002 and has been CFO of E.ON Nordic, based in Malmö, since 2007. Before moving to Sweden, he was responsible for business development at E.ON’s Central Europe market unit and at the company’s Pan European Gas division in Düsseldorf. Christopher holds a Masters in Public Administration from Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government.
Tony Cocker, CEO of E.ON Energy Trading, says: “I’m delighted to welcome Christopher to the Board. He joins us at a challenging but exciting time in the wholesale energy markets, in which we are looking to establish E.ON Energy Trading as the leading asset-backed energy trader in Europe. Christopher brings with him a wide range of experience from throughout the energy industry and I look forward to working with him as we focus on building a business that will continue to deliver added value for the E.ON Group.”
Jonas Abrahamsson, who has been CFO of E.ON Energy Trading since its inception in 2008, leaves after playing a key role in establishing and developing the business.
Tony says: “I’d like to thank Jonas for his invaluable support and collaboration over the past three years. His experience, professionalism, commitment, and drive have been key factors in our success to date. It’s been a pleasure building E.ON Energy Trading together with him and I wish him good luck for his new role.”
