What is the CFO Office?
The CFO Office deals with settlements, confirmations and other activities associated with the correct recording of trading transactions. Our IS team is responsible for the development and operation of the highly specialized applications required to run our energy trading business effectively. There’s also a legal and compliance team, which provides expert legal advice and guidance for the company.
Who works in the CFO Office?
The CFO Office team work to ensure that E.ON Energy Trading has the most effective, efficient and compliant systems and policies. This requires people with a close attention to detail and the ability to effectively articulate new ways to improve existing processes. In the CFO Office, you’ll find the full set of accounting skills, IS capabilities, tax and legal expertise, commodity and credit risk management skills and back office resources required to keep the trading business operating at a high level.

Hilton was born in Trinidad & Tobago, grew up in New York and came to Germany more than 20-years ago as a soldier in the U.S. Army. He loved the country so much he decided to stay on after his service. Hilton is married with five children. He works in the Trading Applications department as a business analyst.

"I am currently managing a couple of projects interfacing with Trading and Backoffice applications. They focus on improving Back Office processes.
Teamwork is an important characteristic for my job! Many of our systems require specific know-how, so departments are often relying upon one another for support. It’s therefore vital that we have good communication and strong relationships between teams to make sure we achieve our objectives.
I like both the business and the IT side of my job equally. Working in an environment with people from all different walks of life is a privilege.
