Together with E.ON Ruhrgas, we supply gas to E.ON’s retail businesses and gas-fired power plant and, along with our oil trading activities, provide E.ON Group companies with risk management services.

As a pan-European player, we’re active in all liquid and semi-liquid European gas markets, optimizing E.ON’s considerable asset base while actively supporting the development of more liquid gas markets across Europe. We also trade financial natural gas products in the US to optimize correlations between energy markets on both sides of the Atlantic.

We trade a wide range of physical and financial products

• Gas - intraday, spot, prompt, forward, standard spread trading, time/location/fixed for floating swaps, virtual storage, swing gas, secondary transport capacity, weather derivatives, non-standard/structured delivery, hedging and optimizing exposures from gas contracts
• Oil – Brent, WTI, gas oil, fuel oil, forward, prompt, hedging and optimizing exposures from oil-indexed gas contracts, swaps, futures
• 2480 billion kWh of Gas traded in 2011
• 89 million metric tons of Oil traded in 2011
